About the performance

"Dinner of Fools" is a story that comments on French high society, which, overfed with everything it can afford, creates situations in which it can mock the weaker and less successful among them. Namely, the topic that is addressed is the meaning of what makes a person happy and the perspective from which it is experienced. The plot tells the story of a representative of high society who, after a series of random accidents that befall him, ends up having dinner with a representative of the very group he planned to ridicule. In this farce of situations, the question arises: what are the values that create a quality life, is it what one can possess materially and social status, or the ability to empathize and be honest? Considering the increasing division of society into rich and poor, socially accepted and socially inappropriate, this story reveals other nuances between the extremes in which it can be seen that happiness is an abstract concept whose predictability and control sooner or later becomes a myth.
