About the performance

"Amateurs" is a satirical and explosive theater play that mixes history, pop culture and contemporary absurdity in a chaotic, magically entertaining world. From the Thessaloniki assassinations, through partisans in the "Fortnite" universe, to parody advertisements for Kavadarci, cosmetics and hotels – everything is permitted and nothing is sacred. Through dynamic scenes and characters that constantly move between myth and reality, "Amateurs" asks questions about identity, history, the meaning of life, and everything in between. This is a play about revolutionaries and fools, about lovers and traitors, about partisans and influencers – about all of us who, out of love for an idea or chaos, remain amateurs. "Amateurs" is a spectacle that blurs the line between laughter and crying, between history and fiction, between tragedy and farce.
